Winter CNA Program Classes Start Soon!

The Certified Nursing Assistant Schedules are now available for the Winter 2017 term.

Two of our latest latest CNA batches just completed the Fall Program, and we are now ready to take on Chicago's Winter Break Classes. Our Next CNA Class starts this September 9th, 2017. Here is the latest CNA class schedule in Chicago for 2017:

WEEKEND CNA CLASSES | 10 Week Course

WEEKDAY CNA CLASSES | 6 Week Course

I'm Young, Should I Worry About Diabetes?

If you're young..... you might think that this is something that I do not need to worry about. Wrong!

Diabetes is on the rise, and is affecting more and more younger people everyday.

People are living longer Yes....but they are living longer with chronic diseases like Diabetes.

What Exactly is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a Disease in which the sugar in your blood is too high.

Blood Sugar (Glucose) comes from the foods that you eat on a daily basis.

Too much sugar in your blood can lead to serious problems.

What Problems Can Come From Diabetes?

Diabetes can damage the following:

- EYES

- KIDNEYS

- NERVES

- HEART

- LIMBS

What Are the Symptoms?

Symptoms of Diabetes include:

1. Increased Thirst and Urination

- Are you going to the bathroom all the time?

2. Constant Hungry

- Have you been feeling that are hungry all the time? More than normal?

3. Blurred Vision

- Has you vision been blurry lately?

What Can I Do to Prevent Diabetes?

You can do the following things to help prevent Diabetes.

1. Lose Weight and Keep it Off

2. Make sure You Have a Healthy Eating Plan

3. Exercise Regularly

4. Stop Smoking

5. Make Sure You talk To Your Health Care Provider

What is the Certified Nursing Assistant CNA's Role in Diabetes Patients

CNA's play an important role when it comes to patient care.

The amount of time that they spend with their patients, in addition to the education they receive, provides a resource to patients who have this disease.

CNA's can help their patients can stay on the path towards living a healthy lifestyle.

CNA Patient Monitoring | Responsibilities

CNA's Will:

- Make sure diabetic patient receives their tray in a timely manner, and the appropriate diet is delivered to patient.

- Will monitor patient for signs and symptoms that are associated with hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia.

- Will ensure proper monitoring and implementation of foot care.

- Proper education prevention techniques associated with mobility and foot care.

INFORMATION

Diabetes is a serious disease that should not be overlooked.

Be sure to know the signs and symptoms and symptoms associated with diabetes.
