PCT Program Welcome Information

Thank you for your interest in our Patient Care Technician (PCT) Training Program here in ICI!

The PCT has three program components or courses plus an Externship at NorthShore Hospital that would allow you to apply your skills in a hospital setting prior to sitting for the certification exam.

You will be taking the CNA, Phlebotomy and EKG Technician Training programs to complete your PCT program requirements, which will also allow you to be certified and work as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist and EKG Technician while you are finishing your program requirements.

Since you have already completed the CNA program, you just need to complete the Phlebotomy, EKG Technician Training program components and externship to complete your PCT program requirements, you can look at the class schedules of the Phlebotomy and EKG Tech program to determine your start date and completion timeline.

BenMark Scholarship Grant for Phlebotomy.
You may apply for a scholarship grant to help offset the cost of your tuition. Your tuition for the Phlebotomy portion of your program will be reduced by 30% and will be immediately applied to your payment plan as long as you maintain a grade of B and you are paying for your tuition out of your own pocket (i.e., you have not been approved for other grants such as WIOA, CEDA, other private grants).

Download the 2020 Class Schedules to view schedules and start-end-dates for the CNA, Phlebotomy and EKG courses.

Processing your application for admission may be done remotely or in-person.
Once you have determined the class schedule you wish to join, we can complete the application process right away. The Application Packet is in a fillable pdf format. Please complete the forms, save/print and submit them in-person or by email. You may submit the completed Physical Exam form on the first day of class (or until Midterm Exam if you need more time).
