LPN ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

ADMISSION PROCESS:

Step 1:  Program Advisment

Schedule a Program Advisement Session with our Admissions staff. They will go over the whole LPN application Process with you and guide you from beginning to end.

Step 2:  Complete Application

Complete all the necessary paperwork needed for Application and submit all documentation required for enrollment.

Step 4: Satisfy Prerequisites

Complete and satisfy all prerequisite requirements needed by ICI.

Step 5: Admission Exam

Students must successfully pass ICI's Entrance Examination in order to apply into the PN Program.

Step 3:  Assessment Exam

The student must first complete an assessment exam administered by the admissions department. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Age Requirement

The law requires nurses to be at least 18 years old to qualify for training and employment. ICI requires students looking to apply to present a birth certificate to verify age requirement.

Prerequisite Courses

ICI requires that all prospective students interested in applying to the LPN Nursing Program complete all prerequisite courses with a "C" or higher in order to register for Enrollment into the PN Program.

Illinois Practical Nursing Program LPN Admission

High School Diploma | GED

The ICI LPN Program requires applicants to be at least a high school graduate or possess a GED in order to be deemed qualified for the practical nursing program.

Admissions Exam | Assessment

The student must first complete an assessment exam administered by the admissions department.  Students must successfully pass ICI's Entrance Examination in order to apply into the PN Program.

Academic Transcripts

Background Check

Prospective students must undergo a Fingerprint-based Health Care Worker Criminal Historty Records Check or be granted a waiver for disqualifying convictions.

Must be completed by FIrst Day of Class.

Prospective students must submit transcripts from all institutions in order to register for classes. All transcripts must be an Official Document in order to be credited for courses previously taken.

CPR Certification

Physical Examination & Immunization

Illinois Department of Public Health requires all prospective students to undergo a general health assessment by a licensed health care provider.

ICI requires that all prospective students complete a CPR certification course or have proof of current certification in CPR.

ICI requries that all prospective Licensed Practical Nursing LPN students looking to apply into the Nursing Program complete and satisfy all LPN Nursing Admission criteria.
